Inside-Out Design

A home should be designed from the inside-out.  The functions of your daily life should determine the layout of your furniture and the way you walk through and experience your home.  These things should influence the shapes of spaces, the way these spaces combine with each other, and help inform how the house should look on the outside.  A careful, thoughtful designer can incorporate both at the same time – naturally.

I really resonate with that old saying about clothing fashion; “are you wearing the outfit … or is the outfit wearing you?”  Houses are very much like this to me; whether designing a new custom home or remodeling an existing one.  It’s of the utmost importance to have your house tailored precisely to fit you and your lifestyle.
