Clover Court
Interior First Floor Remodel - Dublin, Ohio
This home was just begging for new life! …And it certainly got it. Built in 1977, this home had a “typical” 70’s layout - formal living and dining rooms, front study, no mudroom, and a kitchen, breakfast room, and family room all lined up in the back.
As with most families today, though, this family didn’t want to have unused and inaccessible spaces at the front of the house. So, we extended the kitchen into the formal dining room a few feet, while still leaving a little space for a small office where the formal dining area used to be.

The living room is now a formal dining room, as this family really enjoys having large family dinners. However, it’s still flexible because it’s connected to the kitchen and entry - it can be used as another family room, too!

We removed the entry closet to make a much more welcoming entryway and to better connect all of the spaces to each other.
The upper left picture is where the old formal dining room used to be; much more functional for this family as a small office. The upper right picture was the old study. This now functions as a craft room and mudroom and connects to the existing garage door location.
